For 4.5+ years I've been a Toastmaster: speaking, judging contests, and emceeing events for crowds of over a thousand. That work taught me how to hold a room, read a crowd, and deliver under pressure — skills I bring to every role, not just the stage.

I'm studying a BSc (Hons) in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at Robert Gordon University, UK and an LLB (Hons) at the Open University of Sri Lanka, alongside a diploma in English. I'm Batch Representative for my programme, a British Council examinations invigilator, and founder of English Pro Hub — affordable or free English coaching for students who need it.

Off stage, I create content on Hisshan Speaks, volunteer with 20+ organisations (from the ICC T20 World Cup to the Lanka Alzheimer's Foundation), and build projects like SpeechLens and ReCall when I spot a problem worth solving. I completed the Harvard Aspire Leaders Program (Distinction) and UPG Biashara (Distinction, Tribe Sherpa). Trilingual: English, Tamil, and Sinhala.

I judge speech contests, and the #1 reason good speakers lose isn't content — it's timing and filler words. So I built SpeechLens: paste in a speech and it tells you if you'll finish inside the Toastmasters 5–7 minute window, which filler words you lean on, and how easy your sentences are to follow by ear. Pure Python, fully tested, built to coach my English Pro Hub students.
